Biography.
The Artist.
Nora Alshaikh is a contemporary Palestinian US-based artist whose work serves as a visual act of preservation. Born in Amman, Jordan, to Palestinian parents, her practice explores the intersection of memory, cultural identity, and the enduring human spirit world around them and their place within it.

The Journey.
Alshaikh’s artistic journey began at age six, when her work was selected for an exhibition by a UNRWA-affiliated NGO in Amman—an early recognition that ignited a lifelong commitment to storytelling through art. Today, working primarily in oil, she utilizes palette knives and layered brushwork to build textured compositions that bridge the gap between documentary realism and "dream-like" abstraction.

Her work is organized into distinct narrative collections, including The Palestinian Nakba Revival, which reimagines historical archival footage with vibrant color to symbolize resilience, and the upcoming "The 24 Hours In-Between (2026)", a cycle of works exploring the circadian rhythm of childhood memory.
